Not Home Yet

psalm 119:19

Being a morning person, I am cheerful and lively during the day. With  enthusiasm  I could easily accomplish  many tasks.  However at night,  I would sometimes end up tired. There’s an unexplained sense of dissatisfaction. Though I  may have exerted my best effort, it feels like something is missing.

One night as I scan the pages of my journal I saw the message by Rick Warren, a well-known American pastor. It says:  “this world is not your home..”

...the fact that earth is not our ultimate home explains why as Christians we experience difficulty, sorrow and rejection in this world...

So true...
some of our dreams are unfulfilled,
some of our prayers remain  unanswered,
some circumstances seem unfair.

Maybe because we’re not  home yet.
For we are created for something good, something better.
citizenship in heaven

  8. Hello Michelle, according to Phil 3:20 'our citizenship is in heaven..' unless we decide to go the other way. Perhaps it's best to look forward to a wonderful place than the sorrowful one. Thanks again for the visit!

  9. Hi Ric, very interesting post. Maybe that is why so many people are not happy in their life, they are waiting to go to heaven, their home.
