Laziness

One amusing conversation I've read from a book.
quotes on laziness
Are you a host to a human parasite? Someone who depends on you for money? Or for housing? Or for your service?
…the parasite is an otherwise healthy human being that simply wants you to be responsible for his life, period. He doesn’t want to take responsibility for his own life. He looks to you for his sole salvation. If you don’t help him, he’ll die.

Deep inside, you feel used. You really want to say “No more!” but you can’t because you feel guilty.
Bad news: You think you’re doing good, but you really aren’t. ~ Bo Sanchez

Laziness travels so slowly that poverty soon overtakes him. ~Benjamin Franklin

We often miss opportunity because it's dressed in overalls and looks like work. ~Thomas A. Edison

Laziness will cause you pain. ~ a slogan

Lots of those kinds of people in school- we don't live together, but everyone knows how much of a "human parasite" they are. It's up to both parties if they want to change. :)

Yes, Guolisha. Hope both parties will change for the better!

The comic strip was really funny. I hope I had that talent too. Laziness does not lead you anywhere even if others tolerated it or support you. You lose the chance to grow.

yes, Franc, laziness will lead us nowhere...anyway, you're good with words, that's your talent.. and very energetic and athletic too!

Fortunately I'm not a host to a human parasite, but I know a few among my social circle who are. If we don't let these parasites depend on us, they probably will not become parasites (good case scenario)or they will depend on someone else (bad case scenario).

Before I used to be so generous with my cousin that I will always give something for them every time they needed. But I have learned that they abuse my generosity and I want them to learn that they should learn how to stand on their own and work. I speak with them frankly and thank God now there is a progress with their life.

I'm glad I don't have a parasite clinging to me and I'd hate it to bits if it were a parasite husband. Hahaha. I do have kids though but I think theirs is a different case. They are required by nature to be dependent.

Ric / Life N Canvas said...

yes, kids are different, they should be papmpered...with love and discipline : )

I only know of people who are like this. I guess, I would have a hard time if these were family members. I just have a soft spot for them. :/

Ouch! Just Kidding!

Modestly speaking, we should teach others the value of work and money so they would be able to be productive and earn at the same time.

Our society is full of parasites who take away all the nutrients from their hosts. They multiply so fast because of the people around them who spoon-feed and tolerate them. Sometimes we need to give them a lesson so they could stand and live on their own.

There are a lot of people like that! But we should also remember that there will be no parasites if the hosts will not nourish them.

yeah! There are just some people who are really "thick-skinned" and just so dependent. But sometimes it's person who helps them who's got to be blamed because of their tolerance.
