Again, I’ve been sitting a lot lately. I know it’s more comfortable to sit while working but I guess, we have to move often whenever possible. According to studies, sitting for extended hours increases the risk of heart disease, makes people fat and wrecks the body. As a personal reminder, I’ve created an acronym for S.T.A.N.D.
S – Stand up whenever possible. They say our bodies were built for standing and we’re meant to perform physical activities. However, while we are sitting we should maintain the right posture.
T – Take time to walk. It’s good to keep the electrical activity of the leg muscles.
A – Allow blood circulation in the body. Stretching may help.
N – eNhance the eNzymes that help break down the body fat. Frequent movement is ideal.
D – Develop the right habit / posture… and now is the best time to begin.

Dear Ric,
At times I do sit a lot because of my job and writing poetry. But I do walk a lot and work out everyday. Thanks for sharing.
That's good to hear Andy! Yes, it's about time to make a lot of walking. Thanks!
Siting a lot is not that healthy.
I sit so much from school & commuting to school... and then being lazy when I get home, will have to start thinking of this more often! Thanks for sharing xo
Yes, Izdiher, we need to stand up more often! Thanks and regards!
Hello Kaylee, nice meeting you here. I'll visit your site again later! thanks a lot!
I know that sitting is not a good thing, but I have a desk job and sit all day long. I do try to take a walk every day after work, but that doesn't sound like that is enough.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love your blog, great stuff!!
