We Build Our Homes

The story have been told  many times but still a good reminder.

An elderly carpenter was ready to retire and he told his contractor about his plans to leave the business. He plans to live a more leisurely life with his wife and his extended family.

The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go but asked him if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter agreed  but his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end a dedicated career.

When the carpenter finished his work, his employer came to inspect the house. Then he handed the front-door key to the carpenter and said, "This is your house... my gift to you."

The carpenter was shocked!  What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently.  (author unknown)

Living a life is like constructing a building: if you start wrong, you'll end wrong. ~Maya Angelou

If I do something for others how if the same thing for me...? I will happy to receive that same thing ?
If I want to share to others, I like what I share to my self?
Others people is same..they like or unlike like you too..
So they are you...they wish from you like you wish from your self...as you wish from them like they wish for them self..

Yes, Hazel, if the carpenter only knew...so we ought to perform well at all times.

And yes, Wali, whatever we do to others, we are also doing something for ourselves..so it would be best to do good to others!

Thanks friends for dropping by!

At least one nail of good deed is what we need to keep our homes (hearts) in good condition!

Hi,

The moral lesson is we must our best in everything we do. Somehow we'll get our reward, it may not be in the present time but in the near future.
