Perhaps, there’ll be more grief-stricken people this Christmas. ...especially those families affected by the recent typhoon Pablo. I've seen a number of dead bodies on T.V. last night. In addition, some of my friends and relatives abroad will be spending their Christmases away from their loved ones. Anyway, let us be assured that ‘this too shall pass’. Things will get better ....hopefully.
Today, let me share my acronym for B.L.U.E.S.
B – Break the habit of isolation. Oftentimes shutting out your world will do more harm than good. At least, try to associate with enthusiastic people. The people who will lift you up when vitality sags.
L - Learn to love yourself. Accept your strengths and limitations. At times, it may be best to treat yourself with some good stuffs. You may also consider watching a movie or listen to good music or engage in the arts or crafts.
U - Understand that you are not alone. Everyone at some point in their lives has to fight off negative emotions. No one is insulated with sorrow.
E - Express your emotions. It is okay to give way to grief. Bo Sanchez once stated: "Whenever you feel a negative emotion be alone in a room and just sit down with it and feel. Don't judge it, criticize it, intellectualize it, explain it away. Allow yourself to feel the pain. It's okay. Accompany it - breathe into it - and after a while, you'll feel the anger or fear or sadness lose it's urgency and power."
S - Seek help from God. Talk to Him in prayer. According to Regina Brett: ‘It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.’ But then be willing to reconcile and follow His admonition.
When things are bad, we take comfort in the thought that they could always get worse. And when they are, we find hope in the thought that things are so bad they have to get better. ~Malcolm S Forbes

Yes, Christmas is a time for reflection. We can sometimes forget about the hardships and heartaches going on all over the world right now and to remember those that have lost their lives.
