Brick Wall Messages 2

I'm running....
I mean, I'm running out of ideas for this blog...
So I've decided to dig my computer files, search for some artworks
and make a quick post  today : )
Just sharing some good old thoughts...

Looks like the first image is scary...
so I re-arranged the images and came up with this one: )

Let's look forward  to a great new week!
God bless us!

Completion

I got plenty of unfinished artworks...

Most often,  I can get so  busy
with new tasks  that I fail to
accomplish  the previous ones.

There were times that I would start on something...
and then lose the passion
to finish the work along the way...

Good thing, God isn't like me.

...and so with His plans for His beloved.

Hand and Toons (Again...)

I thought of compiling some old graphic works today....

What if they could talk? I mean the drawings  created by their designers. I bet they would react and talk to their creators immediately.
Inspired by some animated films I’ve seen in the past, here are some talking toons : )

Looking Down

I created this simple comics based on a talk I've heard the other day....
comics looking down
Isn’t he ridiculous?  I guess....

Anyway, some people might think and act just like him. (I'm guilty, sometimes) ...
Glad to find something valuable along the way...
and overjoyed after getting more the next day....

And then on succeeding days, we're expecting ‘luck’ to happen again and again. Sometimes   even frustrated whenever we find nothing.

What makes the situation worse is the fact that  some people are getting accustomed to look down while going through life’s highway and unaware of  other good things around.

I remember a message from one unknown author,
let me share via this graphic:
blessings from God

Just Droppin' By

welcome the new day

blessings are coming our way

dont hurry dont worry

keep faith afloat

enjoy whatever the weather
Welcome the bright new day...
Blessings are coming our way.
Don’t hurry, Don’t worry
Enjoy the journey.
Keep faith afloat!
and never lose hope.
Make this day better...
Whatever the weather.

Let us be grateful for this brand new week!

Super M

I seldom do multi-tasking… because I’m not good at it. I’d rather focus on one job and then jump to another after accomplishing the first one. However there are people who are required to do many tasks at the same time. Then they became expert . Some of them would do it with love.

I remember a message written by  Fr. Jerry Orbos. He said:

Someone said that robots will play a big role in the future — they function for hours, they never seem to run down, they are low on maintenance, and they do everything without praise, acknowledgment or attention. Actually, robots are nothing new. They used to be called MOTHERS.

But.. what robots do mechanically, mothers do with the HEART. (Fr.Jerry Orbos, SVD)

Yes, caring moms are super! They’ve been wearing that old, worn-out dress  yet perfectly fits for them through time. Perhaps  they deserve more than a praise!

Cheers to all the wonderful, loving moms! Happy Mother’s Day!

Make Misteaks

We  tried something... And it didn't worked.
Often, we mess things up!
make a lot off misteaks

But misteaks are proof
that we are trying.
And it's okay not to be perfect.
At least..
we are trying and taking the risks

God isn't bothered that we haven't arrived yet.  He knows we're only human.

But He does want us to continue growing. ~Joyce Meyer

Life's Like That!

With few words, I just hope these images
would speak for themselves.
never give up and keep going
And let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary. ~Galatians 6:9

What's My Level Today?

stairs to success I can do it
How I wish there are elevators…

However, according to Joe Girard, ‘The elevator to success is out of order. You'll have to use the stairs... one step at a time.’ Hmmm.. and reaching the top requires patience, hard work, discipline and positive attitude. It reminds me of the poem written by Walter D. Wintle.

If you think you're beaten, you are,
If you think you dare not, you don't.
If you'd like to win, but think you can't,
It's almost a cinch, you won't.

If you think you're losing, you've lost.
For out in the world we find -
Success being with a fellow's will,
It's all in the state of mind.

If you think you're outclassed, you are,
You've got to think high to rise.
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.

Life's battles don't always go,
To the stronger or faster man,
But soon or late the man who wins
Is the one who thinks he can.
~by Walter D. Wintle

Green-eyed Monster

Envy, a monster  we often fail to recognize.  A fierce foe to conquer because he will squeeze the  joy and life out of his victim. And yes, I have to deal with him too,  from time to time.

Envy is the art of counting the other fellow's blessings instead of your own. ~Harold Coffin

Envy is a symptom of lack of appreciation of our own uniqueness and self worth. Each of us has something to give that no one else has. ~Elizabeth O'Connor

Our envy always lasts longer than the happiness of those we envy. ~François Duc de La Rochefoucauld

Blessed is he who has learned to admire but not envy, to follow but not imitate, to praise but not flatter, and to lead but not manipulate. ~William Arthur Ward

Instead of focusing on what others have that I don’t, I thank God for what I do have. And before I know it, I forget what I’m envious about because I’m drowning in a sea of blessings. ~Rissa S. Kawpeng

Clogged Pipelines

life canvas cartoon

I received another GodWhispers newsletter from Bo Sanchez yesterday. The message made me stop and think for awhile. The creative juice in me resulted to that graphic illustration above.

The image says it all. Most of the time, we fail to receive the blessings we deserve just because we allow the ‘clogs’ to build-in through time. It could be a sin or wrong doing, self-doubt, wrong beliefs or failure to take actions. As for me, I need to examine my ways and decide to ‘clean’ the pipelines. And in the process, I knew ‘blessings’ will flow continuously.

A clean engine always delivers power so will a clean mind produces power. ~Norman Vincent Peale

The Lord has dealt with me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands he has rewarded me. ~2 Samuel 22:21

My Goodness!

there's goodness in you life canvas
When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it - always. ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Look for no reward in goodness but goodness itself. ~author unknown

A good head and good heart are always a formidable combination. But when you add to that a literate tongue or pen, then you have something very special. ~Nelson Mandela

Goodness is the only investment which never fails. ~Henry David Thoreau

Always aim at complete harmony of thought and word and deed. Always aim at purifying your thoughts and everything will be well. ~Mahatma Gandhi

Cup of Inspiration

It’s another weekend. Hope you’ll find time to unwind and relax. Share the good times  with family and friends.  Here’s a cup full of good intentions for you.
may your cup run over
May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you. ~Irish Blessings

May God give you...For every storm a rainbow, for every tear a smile, for every care a promise and a blessing in each trial. For every problem life sends, a faithful friend to share, for every sigh a sweet song and an answer for each prayer. ~Irish Blessings

You have filled my heart with greater joy than when their grain and new wine abound. ~Psalm 4:7

Flame

"It is in dying that we give life to others.", a quote from a wise man and I believe it's true though sometimes not easy.
Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile. ~Albert Einstein

Happiness cannot come from without. It must come from within. It is not what we see and touch or that which others do for us which makes us happy; it is that which we think and feel and do, first for the other fellow and then for ourselves. ~Helen Keller

The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others. ~Mahatma Gandhi

For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.~St. Francis of Assisi

Truly Grateful

Most people can, but won't.  Though we may find life quite difficult sometimes,
we  have to remember  one vital key to happiness ~ gratitude!
smile on your face
As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them. ~ John Fitzgerald Kennedy

Gratitude is when memory is stored in the heart and not in the mind. ~ Lionel Hampton

God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today.  Have you used one to say "thank you?"  William A. Ward

Our Deepest Fear

Here’s one beautiful poem written by Marianne Williamson.
our deepest fear
Our Deepest Fear
By Marianne Williamson

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness
That most frightens us.

We ask ourselves
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.

Your playing small
Does not serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine,
As children do.
We were born to make manifest
The glory of God that is within us.

It's not just in some of us;
It's in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we're liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.

Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. ~Matthew 5:16

Don't Cry Over the Past

Let us learn to appreciate
and enjoy the present moment.
dont cry over the pass
Don't cry over the past, it's gone.
Don't stress about the future, it hasn't arrived.
Live in the present and make it beautiful!

One problem with gazing too frequently into the past is that we may turn around to find the future has run out on us.  ~Michael Cibenko

I have memories - but only a fool stores his past in the future.  ~David Gerrold

Serenity Prayer

O I love this prayer!

The Serenity Prayer
God, give us grace to accept with serenitythe things that cannot be changed, courage to change the thingswhich should be changed, and the wisdom to distinguishthe one from the other.Living one day at a time,Enjoying one moment at a time,Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,Taking, as Jesus did,This sinful world as it is,Not as I would have it,Trusting that You will make all things right,If I surrender to Your will,So that I may be reasonably happy in this life,And supremely happy with You forever in the next.Amen.
~ Reinhold Niebuhr (1892-1971)

Loosen Up

While working on a project, sometimes I have to stay very late at night.
That is time when I would remind myself  to  take  some rest and loosen up.
Otherwise,  I'll break my string.

Take rest; a field that has rested gives a bountiful crop. ~Ovid

This art of resting the mind and the power of dismissing from it all care and worry is probably one of the secrets of energy in our great men. ~Captain J. A. Hadfield
No matter how much pressure you feel at work, if you could find ways to relax for at least five minutes every hour, you'd be more productive. ~Dr. Joyce Brothers
Your grip on life is way too tight. Loosen up, Smile, and enjoy the moment. ~Sonny Long
