I want to get infected
today!
Not by anxieties, Oh
Lord I pray,
No, not by virus or any
sickness…
But by the zest of people of gladness!
Let their enthusiasm be
rubbed on me.
The genuine smiles
I want to see!
Let me catch their
sunny dispositions,
Their creativity, love, life and passion!
I got my share
of sorrow and pain;
But I’ll choose to
rejoice despite the rain.
I’ve been through a lot
of troubles and defeat,
Perhaps the ‘high-spirited’
are the best to meet.
In this journey, I need
more joy rubbers.
To add colors and be my life-givers.
Then I’ll set aside every gloom and doubt.
Beautiful poem Ric, I loved the thought behind the poem, rhyming is awesome . Thank's for sharing :)

ReplyDeleteThere were two meanings to the title so I had to re read the entry to make connections. You are such a wonderful poet, no emo postings like me, but readers do smile upon reading your postings. Always positive, keep the world smiling with your good vibes.
