Here’s a simple prayer / poem dedicated to my fellowmen.
The piece is written in Tagalog, our native language.
Madilim na kaulapan, aking nasisilayan.
Bagyong Maring, tila yata di pa lilisan.
Nawa’y wag na siyang manalasa sa bayan..
Sa lahat, panalangin ko’y kaligtasan.
Yes, for two days now we’re experiencing this tropical storm ‘Maring’.
We are in a safe higher place but we are surrounded by water.
Yesterday, three neighboring towns were declared under the state of calamity.. Tsk..tsk
But we hope and pray that typhoon Maring will leave the country today...
