C.H.E.E.R. U.P.

'Cheer up!' ~  a simple note to self ...and to you as well. We all have our not-so-good days. Anyway, I'd like to share the acronym I've created for cheer up. It's the same post made for bubblews but because of the recent changes on the site a lot of visitors weren't able to  access that post.  Good thing I still have a copy in my computer.
cheer up
C - Cheer up! Keep your cool. Maybe it’s just a bad day, not a bad life!
H – Hang in there! Continue despite the difficulties. Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying.
E – Enjoy the journey. Laugh, and laugh some more. Don't be too hard on yourself.
E – Eat right. Exercise. Nourish yourself.
R – Remind yourself that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is a heart-felt ‘Thank you!’

U – Unclutter your life. Simplify pleasures. Eliminate the needless wants.
P – Pray. Ask for God’s guidance. Believe that the prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective. (James 5:16)

Life's Like That! (part 2)

Looking at my dashboard, I’ve noticed that the first  Life’s Like That! received the most number of pageviews recently. Made me wonder how a post with few words gained the top spot? Well, life’s like that!  Anyway, just doing them  for fun, I made a sequel. Enjoy!

Keep doing good deeds long enough, and you'll probably turn out a good man in spite of yourself.   ~Louis Stanton Auchincloss

And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years. ~Abraham Lincoln

The Broken Egg

After being broken, the bones become even stronger. Guess it's true for the broken in spirits. We've got to move on with greater strength and courage.
can't use an egg unless it is broken

God rescues us by breaking us, by shattering our strength and wiping out our resistance. ~A. W. Tozer

Leave the broken, irreversible past in God's hands, and step out into the invincible future with Him. ~Oswald Chambers

God uses broken things. It takes broken soil to produce a crop, broken clouds to give rain, broken grain to give bread, broken bread to give strength. It is the broken alabaster box that gives forth perfume. It is Peter, weeping bitterly, who returns to greater power than ever. ~Vance Havner

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. ~Psalm 34:18
