I created this simple comics based on a talk I've heard the other day....
Isn’t he ridiculous? I guess....
Anyway, some people might think and act just like him. (I'm guilty, sometimes) ...
Glad to find something valuable along the way...
and overjoyed after getting more the next day....
And then on succeeding days, we're expecting ‘luck’ to happen again and again. Sometimes even frustrated whenever we find nothing.
What makes the situation worse is the fact that some people are getting accustomed to look down while going through life’s highway and unaware of other good things around.
I remember a message from one unknown author,
let me share via this graphic:

This is one trait of man that I really hate but need to accept because it is our nature. Man has no satisfaction, always wanting to have more than what he has. Even if God has given grace, still thinks it's not enough. Nice blog, very inspiring. :)
This is the best post of yours I loved that :)
This is so true!
Sabi nga nila, Expectation is the root of all frustrations. Mas masarap pa din yung masurprise ka than mabigo dahil nag-expect ka :))
Always look up lang and follow the sun!
Yes, Sam guess you are right, it is our very nature to expect more... It's a lesson we have to remember again and again...
Thank you, Aunt Mary.
Fiel, yes, mas mabuti siguro yung less expectation para less din ang frustration : )
Thanks everyone! Have a great weekend!
Iam as well guilty of these, we tend to look for the things we wanted that we forgot to appreciate and be thankful for the things we have
I look upon the ground to see if I will step on the ferns and tiny plants along the garden path. Moreso, to see if a snake is slithering by. I look up to see the nests made by the hummingbirds as well as the four bats who managed to make my house their own. I look around, far and near, because there are many things to see, to wonder and to appreciate. Begin with no expectations and we will lead a happier existence.
Yes, we should be expecting something good to happen, but we have to open our eyes because blessing comes in big and small things and in different forms.
Awakening message:)
Have a nice weekend Ric:)
I think too much expectations will end up in frustration. I agree there are a lot of other things to look for rather than expecting the same thing to happen over and over again.
Thank you for the kind reminder in this post. :)
Very true and we keep asking for more!
Pero natawa ako sa huli, malay mo nga nmn may bumgsak na blessing wag lng brya masakit yun haha
Yes, we miss so much in life when we keep our eyes focused towards the ground. We can't see which direction we are heading in and end up going the wrong way.
Never allow a little 'luck' or a 'gift' to throw you off track.
wow.... una ang ganda ng images.... galing naman...
ako madalas nag eexpect.... na sana may magandang mangyari...
pero minsan naman... nag eexpect ako ng di maganda... para kapag nangyari... di na ako masaktan hehehe
This one is beautiful. It really makes one think about life and all the good things we have around us.
you just won an award http://themotherofnine9.wordpress.com/2013/08/26/four-ripple-affect-awards-from-four-interesting-writers/
Too much expectation leads to frustration. Like the guy, we expect more instead of being appreciative of what we already have regardless of how big small it is.
Lovely post Ric :-)
Thanks for the visit friends!
I really appreciate your kind words!
Take care!
Hi, nice blog! Human sometimes are never satisfied with what they have, give 1 inch, they want one foot.
We should count our blessing and be thankful every morning that GOD has given us another day to live. :)
Have a great day.
