Mood Swings

Like swings are my moods these days. Sometimes up…and sometimes down.  It's normal (I know) but I have to deal and  overcome the negative emotions most of the time. One morning  I decided to listen to a sermon while working. Joel Osteen talked about these changing moods. And I know he's right.  In order to remind myself, I opted  to share his thoughts and views about this.

* Emotional stability should be our daily goal. There should be smiles on our face during sunny or rainy days.
* It would be difficult to live with a moody person.
*Don't go around walking with our troubles. Learn to shake off our troubles otherwise we will  drag ourselves down including the people around us.
*You may not feel like smiling but if we want to rise above that emotion, we have to smile by faith.
*God works from the inside out but He expect us to work from the outside in. Thus we have to put a smile first and then joy will follow.

*Learn to develop the character stability!
*Your ability will only be released through stability ~unknown.
*God will not promote us if we keep on losing our patience, our cool, our character.
*We are anointed to enjoy our everyday life. Today is a big event because we're still alive!

Alingawngaw...

Alingawngaw is echo in our  language (Tagalog).
Life is an echo. I was reminded again by the podcast I've heard the other night.

Whatever you send out
 always comes back to you...

Whatever you say and believe
will manifest in our reality, sooner or later.
deuteronomy 30:19
We should  be aware of our thought patterns and  choice of words
 We shouldn't act against ourselves.
We shouldn't beat ourselves up.
Try to approve and be kind (to self) by speaking
the words that would uplift our hearts and spirits.

Looking Down

I created this simple comics based on a talk I've heard the other day....
comics looking down
Isn’t he ridiculous?  I guess....

Anyway, some people might think and act just like him. (I'm guilty, sometimes) ...
Glad to find something valuable along the way...
and overjoyed after getting more the next day....

And then on succeeding days, we're expecting ‘luck’ to happen again and again. Sometimes   even frustrated whenever we find nothing.

What makes the situation worse is the fact that  some people are getting accustomed to look down while going through life’s highway and unaware of  other good things around.

I remember a message from one unknown author,
let me share via this graphic:
blessings from God

Planting the Seeds

I was reminded of that lesson while reading last night.  I  remembered the habits of my father. As a young man then, he would ask for seeds from the fruits we eat. Then he would keep and  plant them in our yard. Fast-forward to many years, the trees have grown multiplying its produce  a hundred times. That’s the Law  of the Harvest. Whatever we  plant, we harvest.

Planting mangoes will give us mangoes.  But.... if we refuse to plant anything will result to nothing. The same is true with our actions. Planting  goodness will result to goodness. Maybe  not today    but some time  in the future. On the contrary  if we choose to plant  unfairness, deceit, cruelty, hatred etc.  will likely to  result to unfavorable harvest.

How about reaping lasting joy? I like this thought shared  by Bo Sanchez: “The happiest people in the world are those who’ve planted  the most seeds of happiness into others.” And this is perhaps the secret of the truly happy people - Always making the effort of planting and cultivating the seeds of happiness into the lives of others.

Whoever brings blessing will be enriched,

and one who waters will himself be watered. ~Proverbs 11:25

Come and Go

I was talking to a friend the other day. According to her, some of her friends deserted her because of some misunderstanding. She tried to talk to them to patch things up but, to no avail. I told her that things happen for a reason. Later, our conversation goes something like this:
comics friends come and go
At some point, we might undergo the same experience, let me share some uplifting messages:

Don’t be afraid if some people will no longer be your friends. Because you deserve better friends. Because if a friend isn’t happy when you’re blessed, he isn’t a real friend. You need to change your friends! ~Bo Sanchez

Friends come and go, but with a precious few, you should hold on. Work hard to bridge the gaps in geography and lifestyle, because the older you get, the more you need the people who knew you when you were young. ~Mary Schmich

God's Whispers

comics God's whisper
God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks to us in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: It is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world ~C.S. Lewis

We all want God’s voice to thunder through the air with the answer to our problem. But God’s is the still small voice...the gentle whisper. Nothing draws human focus quite like a whisper. Perhaps there’s reason. God’s whisper means "I must stop ranting and move closer to Him until my head is bent together with His and then, as I listen, I will find my answer."  ~author unknown

I sought to hear the voice of God and climbed the topmost steeple, but God declared: "Go down again - I dwell among the people. ~John Henry Newman

Let your heart guide you. It whispers softly, so listen closely. ~author unknown

Closed Door

Feeling bad for closed doors? I do, (sometimes)...
but of course there'll be more 'open' doors (and windows!). Got to keep the faith..

When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us. ~Helen Keller

Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors for you where there were only walls ~Joseph Campbell

Have you also been fired? Have you been rejected? Has a door closed in front of you? Don’t be discouraged. You’re in a Detour. Believe that God is preparing you for a bigger door! ~Bo Sanchez

Persistent Grasses

Hope we develop that kind of persistence...
cartoon grasses
Knowing trees, I understand the meaning of patience. Knowing grass, I can appreciate persistence. ~Hal Borland

We are made to persist. That's how we find out who we are. ~Tobias Wolff

Don't ever give up. Don't ever give in.
Don't ever stop trying. Don't ever sell out.
And if you find yourself succumbing to one of the above for a brief moment, pick yourself up, brush yourself off, whisper a prayer, and start where you left off. But never, ever, ever give up. ~Richelle E. Goodrich

Determination gives you the resolve to keep going in spite of the roadblocks that lay before you. ~Denis Waitley

He conquers who endures. ~Persius

No matter how much falls on us, we keep plowing ahead. That's the only way to keep the roads clear. ~Greg Kincaid

Second Chance

"Cheer up!" I would whisper when clouds of despair tries to ruin my day.
"For sure, there'll be more opportunities, better tomorrows!..."
When you are tired and discouraged from fruitless efforts, God knows how hard you tried.
When you've cried so long and your heart is in anguish,
God has counted your tears.
If you feel that your life is on hold and time has passed you by, God is waiting for you. ~author unknown

Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow." ~Mary Anne Radmacher

In His Time

We're in a hurry to achieve our  goals, our dreams.
But everything happens in due time, in God's time.
in Gods time
Restlessness and impatience change nothing except our peace and joy. Peace does not dwell in outward things, but in the heart prepared to wait trustfully and quietly on Him who has all things safely in His hands. ~Elisabeth Elliott

No one can look at a pine tree in winter without knowing that spring will come again in due time. ~Frank Bolles

Remember all in due time. What God has for you is for you and no one else. Stop looking over at what the next person has. That person has walked their own path to get to where they are. You will get to your destination all in due time. ~Tamara Grant

He has made everything beautiful in its time …
for there shall be a time there for every purpose
and for every work. ~Ecclesiastes 3:11,17

Bored

I am accustomed to do the same routine each day.And yes, sometimes I get bored.
Thus, whenever  Mr. Boredom knocks in, I  try to check my  options to overcome  the blues.
i'm bored artwork
Are you bored with life? Then throw yourself into some work you believe in with all your heart, live for it, die for it, and you will find happiness that you had thought could never be yours.  ~Dale Carnegie

As far as pleasures, you've got to have limits. You shouldn't have too much of good things, so you'll always have a desire for more and you won't get bored.
  ~Compay Segundo

A Personal Remedy List:
1. I try to break my routine. I'll  do something new  or a different time for certain  activities.
2. I try to keep motivation by changing my thoughts. I'd remind myself of my long-range goals.
3. I take the  time to talk to a family member or a friend. Guess expressing one's thought helps a lot.
4. I spend time for reflection (or  prayer). I seek guidance  from the power source greater than me.
5. I  spend  time for physical activities  like walking, sweeping  or exercising.
6. I read interesting articles or books that will help me fire my enthusiasm and renew the motivation.
7. Because I seldom watch TV, I try to watch TV every once in a while. I prefer informative shows or movies that is stimulating and entertaining as well.
8. I try to get  away from toxic people. I mean the negative people.  Those who prefers  to complain and grumble at all times.
9. I try to warm up,  smile and remind myself that  everything will pass away. And things will get better soon!
