Troubled

*A mind full of trouble  or a

*A mind full of peace

These are  possible options we have before going to bed.

The other night, I guess I am somewhere in between. Yes, I am quite bothered because I’ve been searching for a single receipt for an hour. The receipt for my Social Security contribution for the last four months. I knew I already made the payment but I can’t find the vouchers. Thoughts were running through my head, ‘what if I was wrong and failed to pay the contribution?’

“Ok you’re tired!” I told myself. "Go to sleep and see the online records in the morning.” Still, I was doubtful. Usually it would take months to reflect the current payments made by members. “Anyway, have it checked tomorrow....” Then I slept with a mind half-troubled.

The next day before going through my usual morning routine, I flipped through my personal cards. These are handwritten and laminated notes, quotes and verses (the  image above). Actually, they're my shock absorbers whenever I’m troubled (lol). Then I made the online check. Voila!! Their databases were updated. ----> And so with my payments. Thank God!
Then I remembered this verse:
I was also reminded of this message:
don't be totally worried

Oh My.. Monday!

monday cartoon
It’s Tuesday now actually. Supposedly, the post was made yesterday but I got so busy that I can hardly make a quick post. Anyway, let me share today  my acronym for M.o.n.d.a.y.  Hope we  can see mondays in a different light.

M – Meet the new week with gladness. Be attuned to God's  blessings and provisions.
O – Open your heart and mind. Be open for new opportunities. Look forward to accomplishing worthy goals.
N - Never allow dull and unhealthy thoughts define your day / week. Always welcome the good vibrations.
D - Decide to win. Deal with obstacles. Discover new ways. Do it today!
A - Affirm enthusiasm. Think, talk and live enthusiastically. Everything else will follow.
Y - Yield to gratitude. Be grateful for your past achievements. Be grateful for new open doors. Be grateful for your life, work, and relationships!

So there goes my list. Hope you’ll have a great new week!

C.H.E.E.R. U.P.

'Cheer up!' ~  a simple note to self ...and to you as well. We all have our not-so-good days. Anyway, I'd like to share the acronym I've created for cheer up. It's the same post made for bubblews but because of the recent changes on the site a lot of visitors weren't able to  access that post.  Good thing I still have a copy in my computer.
cheer up
C - Cheer up! Keep your cool. Maybe it’s just a bad day, not a bad life!
H – Hang in there! Continue despite the difficulties. Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying.
E – Enjoy the journey. Laugh, and laugh some more. Don't be too hard on yourself.
E – Eat right. Exercise. Nourish yourself.
R – Remind yourself that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is a heart-felt ‘Thank you!’

U – Unclutter your life. Simplify pleasures. Eliminate the needless wants.
P – Pray. Ask for God’s guidance. Believe that the prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective. (James 5:16)
