Make Misteaks

We  tried something... And it didn't worked.
Often, we mess things up!

But misteaks are proof
that we are trying.
And it's okay not to be perfect.
At least..
we are trying and taking the risks

God isn't bothered that we haven't arrived yet.  He knows we're only human.

But He does want us to continue growing. ~Joyce Meyer

A Loving Mother

pencil in the hand of a writing God by Mother Teresa
Wise words spoken by the blessed  Mother Teresa of Calcutta.
If  we can only do the same ...though it won't be easy.

Below  are some inspiring quotes from
Mother Teresa of Calcutta.

Mother Teresa drawing
A hand-drawn image of Mother Teresa
**Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.
**I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot; together we can do great things.
**Peace begins with a smile.
**If you judge people, you have no time to love them.
**God doesn't require us to succeed; He only requires that you try.
**It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.
**Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.
**What can you do to promote world peace? Go home and love your family.
**If you can't feed a hundred people, then just feed one.
**Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.

Each New Day

We may have failed  the previous day.. and so be it.
There'll be another day, anyway..

crossword each day opportunity

    Another opportunity to..
we have to change and improve
Finish each day and be done with it.
You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities have crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day;
you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit
to be encumbered with your old nonsense. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see. The longer I live, the more my mind dwells upon the beauty and the wonder of the world. ~John Burroughs

Very well-said. By the way, here's my wish for you today ~ the three hidden words in the puzzle.  (or you may want to see them here.)

Stress Less

Here are simple remedies for a stressful day.

A timely reminder for busy folks like many of us.

stress less and relax

Dance it out.
Sing.
Breathe.
Go for a walk.
Talk about it.
Go to bed earlier.
Focus on what you can control.
Reminisce about the good times.

and may I add a heartfelt prayer.

Reminds me of the prayer I've posted before.
a rephrased prayer of St. Teresa of Avila:

Let nothing disturb me,
Let nothing frighten me,
Everything passes away
except God.
God alone is sufficient!

Loosen Up Again...

Your grip on life is way too tight.
Loosen up, smile, and enjoy the moment. ~Sonny Long

Yes, maybe the message was intended for me today. I wanted to accomplish a lot of things. But in the midst of  my busyness, I  turned  the computer off and spent  time cleaning the house - well, just to loosen up. Upon returning, I found myself staring at my compiled photos. Let me share some relaxing images of nature.

Humps and Potholes

toy car

That’s my car..
I mean my toy car. I bought it as a souvenir several years ago. I’ve taken few shots yesterday and then cropped the edges of one photo for this post.

toy car on the road

We are all travelers heading to a certain destination. We definitely want a pleasant and safe journey. However many times we are interrupted by humps and sometimes potholes along the way.

Author Bo Sanchez made an interesting analogy regarding humps and potholes.

We do not expect potholes. These are the difficulties or big problems we encounter - our house burned down, a family member got sick,  we lost our jobs, etc.  Nobody warns us about this. Therefore we are forced to stop and think things out.

On the other hand humps are made deliberately. We allow ourselves to pass though them as we move slowly yet safely.  These are the quiet time for  prayers, retreats or attending masses or worship services. We decide to stop. We think things out not because we are forced to but because we want to. prayers and humps
Going through these humps could be vital for us  to get rid of more potholes. We need some time for quiet reflections so as to avoid any path leading to nowhere and in the process help us find  better ways.

"We may run, walk, stumble, drive, or fly, but let us never lose sight of the reason for the journey, or miss a chance to see a rainbow on the way." ~Gloria Gaither

"If you wish to travel far and fast, travel light. Take off all your envies, jealousies, unforgiveness, selfishness, and fears." ~Glenn Clark

Life's Like That!

With few words, I just hope these images
would speak for themselves.
never give up and keep going
And let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary. ~Galatians 6:9

The Water Crystals Experiment

the power of your words cartoon
According to psychologists, the way we talk to ourselves affect our lives. Mr. Masaru Emoto, a Japanese scientist conducted several experiments on water and presented a very interesting results

The following images are water crystals. These crystals were taken from  samples gathered by Mr. Emoto from different places. Using dark field microscope, he was able to take the photographs.

how thoughts and words affect water crystals

Our thoughts, words, and music have profound healing or destructive effect on water. Since our body is made up of 70% water (or more), the water molecules in us are affected by the way we think and speak. It is therefore best to dwell on words, music and thoughts that heals and blesses others.

Crushed in Spirit?

For two consecutive weeks, upon checking my blogger’s keyword searches I’ve seen phrases / words  such as  'don’t cry', 'don’t give up', 'relax', and 'hang in there'. It seems that the previous visitors coming from google searches were looking for some uplifting posts.

Are they seeking for some sort of relief or words of encouragement? I don’t know...but just like anybody else, we’ve been hurt and has tried countless ways to find comfort too. Life can be so tough and we long for friends to lift us up during difficult times. I know how it feels and I do hope and pray for those who are crushed in spirit.  May we find peace, joy and courage in our lives'  journey.

 never give up

You will face many defeats in your life, but never let yourself be defeated. ~Maya Angelou
Hope has two beautiful daughters – their names are anger and courage; anger at the way things are, and courage to see that they do not remain the way they are. ~St. Augustine
