I actually needed this today.. didn't want to drown God's message to me by not listening to him closely..
I totally agree with you. God really never screams his message to us but he rather let us feel it.
This post reminds me of the verse, "Be still and know that I am God," or something to that effect. I haven't really memorized it. We just have to turn off all the noise of the world for our souls to be in tune to God's frequency. I've proven that when I take long walks under the trees without any music player or cellphone distraction. The spiritual connection is palpable.

Most of the time when we pray, it's just a one-sided conversation. we do all the talking but we don't take time to listen..
