Be 'YOU'

We don't have to know everything
to gain favor from everyone.

Be the 'best version' of you.
That would be the easiest thing to do!

Brick Wall Messages 2

I'm running....
I mean, I'm running out of ideas for this blog...
So I've decided to dig my computer files, search for some artworks
and make a quick post  today : )
Just sharing some good old thoughts...

Looks like the first image is scary...
so I re-arranged the images and came up with this one: )

Let's look forward  to a great new week!
God bless us!

Simple Notes to Self

Yesterday was my rest day.  A care-free day.  I've watched TV for almost an hour (quite unusual for me because I seldom watch TV nowadays)

Later I brought the camera with me  and took random pictures. I thought of creating  graphic cards for this blog. Simple notes to remind myself from time to time.

relax dog

smile note
Take time to rest.
If you find yourself always in a hurry, reduce the tempo of your pace…
Remember...
easy does it note
If you want to be nourished, spend time to read…
If you are troubled, take time to pray…
If you are angry with someone, learn to….

let go and let God
Do not be too hard on yourself….
You are not the general manager of the universe..
Things will come, things will go…
have faith
 Smile and Laugh!
keep on going
and
enjoy life's pleasures
(Meet our new puppy,  Dune Air)

Have a great new week!

Closed Door

Feeling bad for closed doors? I do, (sometimes)...
but of course there'll be more 'open' doors (and windows!). Got to keep the faith..

When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us. ~Helen Keller

Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors for you where there were only walls ~Joseph Campbell

Have you also been fired? Have you been rejected? Has a door closed in front of you? Don’t be discouraged. You’re in a Detour. Believe that God is preparing you for a bigger door! ~Bo Sanchez

Paying Attention

Sometimes we are caught up in a busy world that we become unaware of the danger
ahead of us  just like this caricature.  I have posted here a part of a newspaper write-up  by Fr. Jerry Orbos.  A good reminder for everyone.
so listen to me my sons cartoon
When God orders us to do something, we must listen. Many of us half-listen or do not listen at all. Why? Because we listen to ourselves or to the world around us. God speaks to us every day in ordinary ways. In the Holy Bible He speaks to us in a special way. If we want to listen to God, we must tone down the volume of our own headsets and the noise of the world around us. Only with a listening ear, and a prayerful heart can we truly listen and discern. ~Fr. Jerry Orbos

Everything has been said before, but since nobody listens we have to keep going back and beginning all over again. ~Andre Gide

Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it! ~Luke 11:28

A Dog or a Cat?

One priest delivered a homily with this dog and cat scenario.
dog and cat humble and proud

Are we a dog or a cat?
A dog is grateful and appreciative, while a cat is presumptuous and demanding.
A dog is humble whereas a cat is quite proud!

The intelligent man who is proud of his intelligence is like the condemned man who is proud of his large cell ~Simone Weil

Being proud isn't bragging about how great you are; its more like quietly knowing that you're worth a lot. ~author unknown

Never be too proud of who you are and what position you hold because after a game of chess the kings and pawns are tossed into the same box. ~author unknown

God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble. ~1 Peter 5:5

Here's an obedient dog for today's post.
My nephew loves to play with him : )
