A MORNING POEM

Just a  simple poem to start my day.

It’s friday morning and here’s my scribble,

Time to rise up and make some doodle!

Wake up with a smile,

Leave your worries for awhile.

Be ready for today’s trip,

Grab your coffee, Enjoy every sip

It’ll be good to walk in the sun

Cheer up and have some fun!

Lift up your cares. Blow your troubles away!

 And be grateful for this another day!

My Prayer (this week...)

Lord, pour your cup of goodness 
in my heart and mind today. 
Though there's a bit of tiredness; 
Lift me up and show the way!

Zest and vigor, I seek..

O, fill me with the right motivation.
Let me welcome this week
With joyful anticipation!

Remind me to be grateful
Appreciative of the given chances.
I'll set aside the troubles

Then face the day with gladness!

I want to get infected today!

Not by anxieties, Oh Lord I pray,

No, not by virus or any sickness…

But by the zest of people of gladness!

Let their enthusiasm be rubbed on me.

The genuine smiles I want to see!

Let me catch their sunny dispositions,

Their creativity, love, life and passion!

I got my share of sorrow and pain;

But I’ll choose to rejoice despite the rain.

I’ve been through a lot of troubles and defeat,

Perhaps the ‘high-spirited’ are the best to meet.

In this journey, I need more joy rubbers.

To add  colors and be my life-givers.

Then I’ll  set aside every gloom and doubt.

Cause in my heart, that’s what life is all about!

The Quest for Inspiration

The poem was created last June of this year. 

 And perhaps this is my prayer for today.

Guess I need few drops of inspiration today,

A simple boost for me. Lord, to You I pray.

Like a soft whisper, a joy to my ear,

Words of hope will bring me good cheer!

May the cool winds deliver the motivation.

And the rain showers me with good vibration.

Let the cloud capture the colors of varying hue

While bringing back memories that are lovely and true!

Then I will remember the good days of the old,

Shining with enthusiasm and sparkling like gold!

I’ll reminisce the days while humming a melody!

And this buoyant spirit will offer peace and harmony.

Then I will pass the same light to anyone 

I'll try to extend  my little sunshine!

Perhaps this dark world needs another rainbow.

And the zest of today will promise a bright tomorrow!

Another poem -  Seeing Rejection 

Moving On (poem)

A poem dedicated to  friends on another site but let me also share this piece with you..

Feels like a crumpled paper?

And then thrown into the water..

You might be crushed and whipped...

But waste no time on grief.

You may think the good old  days are through

And this time you have to say ‘adieu’

But never dwell on the pain,

Don’t let anger and sadness reign.

Though our trials may cut like sword.

But take heed to these words

Whatever happens to me and you...

We will never  lose our true value.

Stand up now with head up high.

You need not know  the reasons why.

Open your mind and see the good.

Keep feet on the ground as you would.

Cheer me up again, O Lord

Hear my heart today.

Encourage me to keep on going;

Empower me to pray.

Relieve me of all the worries...

Make way for each new day

Enlighten my weary spirit

Until I find

Peace from You, O Lord, I pray.

Life's a Journey (a poem)

Just a simple poem

Truly, life's a journey of joy and sorrow!

No guarantee for happiness for every tomorrow.

Let us be  prepared for defeat or victory,

And rely on God’s promises to keep us company.

Perhaps there’ll be  times when we wanna give up!

Everything  isn’t easy,  situation seems so tough..

But we have no choice but to keep on going..

Fret not otherwise we'll end up  losing.

Be courageous enough to meet life’s battle,

Choose the right track in spite of all the struggle.

Move ahead with our eyes fixed on our goals.

Stand  up and stay calm whenever we fall.

Anyway...

Recently, I had a quite similar experience (to a new acquaintance).

What can I say? No matter what we do or how much we try to be nice to others, we can never please everyone (much more to a new acquaintance!). Anyway,  one uplifting poem comes to my mind. The poem written on the wall in Mother Teresa’s home for children in Calcutta. I’d like to share it here. 

DO IT ANYWAY (by Mother Teresa)

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered.  Forgive them anyway.
            If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.  Be kind anyway.
            If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.  Succeed anyway.
           If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you.  Be honest and sincere anyway.
            What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight.  Create anyway.
            If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.  
Be happy anyway.
            The good you do today, will often be forgotten.  
Do good anyway.
         Give the best you have, and it will never be enough.  
Give your best anyway.
         In the final analysis, it is between you and God.  It was never between you and them anyway.
